The first trailer of F9, the next movie of the Fast and Furious franchise has arrived, and reveals what character John Cena will play.
It was announced that Cena would join the film last June, and until now it was not known what role he would play in the film. The advance reveals that John Cena will play the role of Dominic Toretto's brother (played by Vin Diesel).
In the three-minute trailer, it is revealed that John Cena's character, Jakob, is Dom's lost brother and has partnered with Cipher (played by Charlize Theron) to defeat Dom.
The film seems to focus on sibling rivalry, since John Cena will play the role of the main antagonist, in addition to Cipher. John Cena's Jakob is a master thief, murderer and a high-performance driver, and you can see in the trailer how far he will go to take down Dom and his crew.
The film will be released in theaters on May 22. The film stars Vin Diesel, John Cena, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang (yes, apparently his character is alive), Charlize Theron and Cardi B, who will play a new character called Leysa, who is shown as a woman who has a connection with Dom's past.
